This is all about ensuring that everything is ready for the actual first day of live use. The list of tasks to roll out depends on the application / site created.

Roll Out Tasks

  • Document all that needs to be done until the application / site is succesfully live.
  • Identify which resources do what and when they should perform their task(s).
  • If multiple tasks can be done at the same time and resources are available then add to the plan.
  • Have a back up option for each task.
  • Decide on a go/no decision point.
  • Calculate any risks and what they are.
  • Ensure the client is ready for any activity prompted by the change.
  • Check to see support contracts are in place.
  • Inform all of the escalation protocol should an unforeseen situation occur.
  • Update plans throughout the process so all can see progress made.
  • Ensure data and code are loaded.
  • Update any configuration required for go live and check all works.
